NAME
1. The Club shall be called the ‘North Staffs Accordion Club’.
OBJECTIVES
2. The objects of the Club shall be to provide a focus for players of the accordion instrument (family) in North Staffordshire and enhance their enjoyment of accordion music and skills in playing the instruments. The Club will cater for players of the instrument to all levels of skill.
MANAGEMENT
3. The business of the Club shall be managed by a Management Committee consisting of the Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Treasurer and up to seven other members, all of whom shall be elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
4. Any officer or member of the Committee may be removed by a majority of two-

6. The Committee will have the power to utilise the funds of the Club to achieve the objects as specified in these rules.
7. The Club shall indemnify the said Management Committee against all acts carried out in this respect on behalf of the Club providing the Management Committee have acted in good faith and have taken professional advice where necessary.

from Club funds other than direct club expenses, pre-
MEMBERSHIP
9. No restriction is made on membership. Any person may join on payment of the club subscription fee.
MEMBERS MEETINGS
10. At least seven days' notice shall be given to members of the intention to hold an Annual General Meeting, which normally shall be held in September of each year or as soon as possible thereafter.
At this meeting the following business shall be transacted: Agreement of previous minutes.
Receiving the Balance Sheet and Report of the Committee Revision of Rules (if necessary) Election of Officers Election of other Committee members Consider any other business .
11. Upon the request in writing, duly setting out the purpose and signed by twelve members and delivered to the Secretary, the Committee shall within 14 days convene a Special General Meeting of the Club.
12. Upon such requisition being duly served and not complied with within fourteen days, the requisitioners may themselves convene a Special General Meeting of the Club by giving seven days' notice in writing to the members, duly setting out the purpose for which the meeting is called. Any resolutions passed at such a meeting shall have the same force as if they were passed at a meeting convened by the Committee.
ACCOUNTS
13. As general guidelines only, the committee shall adopt the policy:
a) Membership Subscriptions fund a Club Newsletter.
b) Entrance money to club nights funds payments to guests, d) Band receipts funds band music, club equipment, etc.
14. Membership annual, and Club attendance, subscriptions shall be agreed at the Annual General meeting. In addition charges for any special activities of the Club may be set by the Committee payable by those taking part in the specific activity.
15. The Secretary or any officer or member receiving any money on behalf of the Club shall forthwith hand same to the Treasurer.
16. The accounts shall be presented for audit by committee members prior to the Annual General Meeting.
17. The Committee may pay accounts and incur any normal liabilities on behalf of the Club.
18. Expenditure of, and earnings from, a Club Band are to be identified as such in the Club financial reports. Any excess of earnings over expenditure may be spent on band equipment, music or related activities. Any music or equipment purchased from band funds will be owned by the Club.
CHANGE OF RULES
19. The rules of the Club may be altered, rescinded or added to by the votes of

DISSOLUTION
20. In the event of the dissolution of the Club, a decision will be made at a General Meeting over the disposal of assets and liabilities of the Club. No club individual will benefit from this disposal.
DISPUTES
21. Any dispute arising out of the interpretation of or not covered by these rules shall be referred to the Chairman of the Club whose decision after reasonable consultation with the General Committee,
